Antique Japanese Samurai half-mask with tare.

Samurai lower face mask forged with iron and laquer in deep shu urushi/ red laquer.

This mask protects mouth ,chin and cheeks leaving eyes and nose exposed for visibility in combat.

Fifted with a 4-lames tare forming the throat guard protection. Laced in traditional kebiki tight lacing pattern with dark blue silk odoshi.
